The Y's Beginnings Toddler and Pre School summer program at 18 Parkside Drive in Suffern, NY runs four sessions through the summer. Each session runs for two weeks from 9:30 am to noon, Monday through Friday. You can choose to attend two, three or five days a week. The camp provides a fun experience while encouraging individual growth and fostering self esteem. Activities include water and free play, art, music, picnicking and games that build strength and stamina and develop fine motor skills. Our beautiful outdoor woodland setting, a nearby duck pond and two playgrounds allow for science and nature-based activities to enrich your child's experience. Summer Day Camp at the Nyack Facility is a carefully planned, flexible program in a supervised environment to care for children of working parents during the summer. Children kindergarten (child must have completed kindergarten) through the fifth grade are eligible. The program runs from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm for 4 two-week sessions starting Monday, June 28 and ending Friday, August 20 and is licensed by NYS. It includes indoor and outdoor activities, crafts, cooking, sports, field trips, special events and daily swimming. Children attending the program are advised to bring cold packs with lunch and a towel, swimsuit, swim cap and goggles. Cap and goggles can be purchased at the Member Service Desk. A $100 deposit per session per child is due at the time if registering before June 1. A $125 deposit is required to register after June 1. Every child must be a member of the YMCA. If your child is not a member, a membership fee of $80 is due at registration. Registration is run on a first come first served basis. There are no refunds and/or credits. There is a 5% discount on tuition for a second child.

The Rockland County YMCA is expanding its services in North Rockland. Our new 2010 Summer Camp will be located on the beautiful grounds of the Boy Scouts of America Camp Bullowa in Stony Point. The camp delivers a carefully planned, flexible program in a supervised environment to care for children of working parents during the summer. Children from age 5 through 13 are eligible. The program runs from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm for 8 one-week sessions starting Monday, June 28 and ending Friday, August 20 and is licensed by the Department of Health. It includes indoor and outdoor activities, boating, arts and crafts, archery, nature activities, school enrichment and daily swimming in Lake Boyce.
