The Y's Beginnings Toddler and Pre School summer program at 18 Parkside Drive in Suffern, NY runs four sessions through the summer. Each session runs for two weeks from 9:30 am to noon, Monday through Friday. The camp provides a fun experience while encouraging individual growth and fostering self esteem. Activities include water and free play, art, music, picnicking and games that build strength and stamina and develop fine motor skills. Our beautiful outdoor woodland setting, a nearby duck pond and two playgrounds allow for science and nature-based activities to enrich your child's experience. Children kindergarten through the fifth grade can spend fun filled days at our Nyack Branch during school breaks in December, February and April and during the summer starting in early July for six weeks. The clubs and camp run from 8 am to 6 pm. Children attending the program are advised to bring cold packs with lunch and a towel, swimsuit, swim cap and goggles. Summer Day Camp at the Nyack Facility is a carefully planned, flexible program in a supervised environment to care for children of working parents during the summer. The program runs from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm for 4 two-week sessions starting Monday, June 30 and ending Friday, August 22 and is licensed by NYS. It includes indoor and outdoor activities, crafts, cooking, sports, field trips, special events and daily swimming. A $75 deposit per session per child is due at the time of registration. Every child must be a member of the YMCA. If your child is not a member, a membership fee of $75 is due at registration. Registration is run on a first come first served basis. There are no refunds and/or credits. There is a 5% discount on tuition for a second child.
