Q: What are the hours of operation and
what holidays does the YMCA close?
A: Please click on the Operating hrs and Holidays link at the bottom
footer of this page to find the hours and observed holidays of the
YMCA. Exceptions are preschool and school age child care
programs which generally follow the school closing schedule of the
participating school district. See the Child Care links above
for more details.
Q: What swimming class should my child
enroll in?
A: If you are unsure what class your child should enroll in, please
call the Aquatics Director to discuss proper placement of your
child. A swimming test may be appropriate in some cases.
Q: Do you pay extra for fitness group
lessons?
A: Fitness group lessons are free to members of the YMCA.
Q: Do you have any openings in the
preschool day care programs?
A: Openings occur randomly throughout the year. Please call
the Preschool Child Care Director of the location you are
interested in to find if any are currently
available. If none are available, you can be put on waiting
list to be notified when a vacancy occurs.
Q: Do you accept Department of Social
Services subsidy for child care service?
A: Rainbow Connection and the YMCA Children's Center in Suffern do
accept the subsidy.
Q: My child will be absent from school
for a week. Do I get a refund of a portion of my school age
child care payment?
A: Payment is based on enrollment not attendance. No refund
will be given.
