The Rockland County YMCA offers group fitness classes that range from tranquil yoga to energizing Boot Camp. They’re a great way to learn new skills, build strength, add variety to your workout, and make new friends. These classes are free to members and cost $12 per class for non-members. You can purchase a Group Fitness Class Card for $100 for 10 classes. The card expires two months after the initial use. All of these classes can be joined at any time. If there are two or fewer participants, it is left to the instructor's discretion to teach the class or not. Show off your skills and get fit. Come pick up a friendly game of basketball—a long time tradition here at the YMCA. In fact, the Y invented the game (back in 1891 in Massachusetts)! Teams of five players will be formed on a first-come, first-served basis. The first team to reach 11 points wins and challenges the next team.

Volleyball got its start at a YMCA in
1896 so it's no wonder that the Rockland County YMCA continues the
tradition. We offer three hours of co-ed pick-up play for
experienced volleyball players who are looking for an informal, fun
night of competitive volleyball. Players should have fairly
good passing and ball control skills, be committed to competitive
team play (pass, set and spike) and understand that there will be
some powerful hitters in most sessions. You do not need to
come with a team, as we will create skill-balanced teams in each
session. Limit of 20 players per session, members and
participants who pay in advance will receive priority.
This will give people who are new to the game or those who are curious to try it an opportunity to use the net and test their skills. (MEMBERS ONLY)
