Community Wellness Internship
The Community Wellness Intern will be responsible for developing and implementing workplace wellness programming, tailoring health education communication to specific audiences and facilitating discussions around wellness best practices. The intern will also be responsible for program marketing of current programs along with new programs. The Community Wellness Intern will gain skills in leadership; communication both oral and written; group facilitation, program development and assessment, and organizational skills. This is an unpaid internship.
Marketing & Social Media Internship
The Y is looking for a cause-driven leader with a passion to serve others, better the community and make a positive impact. Responsibilities include assisting the Rockland County YMCA in communicating important events and information to members via a monthly Newsletter, updating content on the Y’s website, creating posters and flyers using Microsoft Publisher and assisting Directors with their marketing needs. Managing the social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter etc.).
Assist the Aquatic Director and Assistant Director in the administration of American Red Cross courses, swim lessons and all YMCA Aquatics programs. Assist with the program marketing of current classes. Great for Health and Wellness Majors, ARC lifeguard, CPR, 1st Aid preferred. Contact: Jessica Keavney at JKeavney@rocklandymca.org
