EARLY MORNING LIFEGUARD

5-9am shift

Are you reliable, hardworking and looking to work for the best? If so…come join the Rockland County YMCA, the #1 Aquatic program in Rockland County.  We are is seeking qualified individuals who will be responsible for the health and safety of patrons using our Aquatics facilities (pool, sauna, hot tub, steam room)

Qualifications: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Current YMCA or American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certificate.
  • Current CPR/AED/Professional Rescuer, Oxygen Administration and First Aid certifications.
  • Knowledge of proper rescue techniques and proper use of equipment
  • This shift pays $13 to $15 per hour.

SWIM INSTRUCTORS

Qualifications: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Current YMCA or American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certificate.
  • Current CPR/AED/Professional Rescuer, Oxygen Administration, and First Aid certifications.
  • Knowledge of proper rescue techniques and proper use of equipment.
  • Swim team/WSI certification/prior swim lesson experience preferred
  • All shifts available

summer counselor for Early Childhood  program (Suffern)

Looking for fun energetic people to come join us at our summer program for kids ages 2-5. We are looking for staff to help run activities and ensure everyone has a fun and engaging experience.  

The program runs Monday - Friday 9:30-12:00  for 4 weeks - July 17 to August 11.

Prior child care/ summer camp experience needed

Must be cleared through the YMCA Background check
