The YMCA is the one of the largest providers of high quality, deliberately affordable school-age programs in Rockland County. Every day at our School Age Child Care (SACC) programs, we help hundreds of children reach their fullest potential in a welcoming, supportive environment. By incorporating the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility into all of our youth services programming, we give children the solid foundation they need to thrive—not only in school, but beyond.
Our office in Nyack serves as the headquarters for our before and after school care programs in the Nyack, Suffern, South Orangetown, Clarkstown schools. These programs provide a well supervised engaging program. All sites are licensed by New York State.
Registration is on a first-come first-served basis with priority given to children needing care five days a week. We offer many several schedule option to meet the needs of working and commuting parents. You can register for 5-4-3 or 2 days a week. For those choosing the 4-3 or 2 day a week option specific days must be chosen. Enrollment is ongoing with limited availability in many schools - For further information or to enroll, please call the SACC office in Nyack at (845)-727-1037.
Before School Programs - our before school programs start at 7 a.m. and go until the school day begins. This means that you do not need to worry about what time school starts as your child is safe with us until then. You can drop off your child on your way to work and trust that they will be involved in fun activities that will engage them and ensure they are ready for the start of school. We offer before school programs at the following schools:
After School Programs Once children reach school age, multiple influences enter their lives. Y After School ensures that out of school time is occupied creatively and constructively. The Y's primary goal of after-school care is to provide a quality, affordable, safe place for children to go so that parents have the freedom to work, knowing that their children's needs are being addressed. Children have talents and skills to develop, energy to use and huge reservoirs of creativity to explore. Our programs run every day until 6:30 to accommodate our working and commuting parents. We offer after-school programs for the following schools:
