Lockers, Security and Photo ID Cards
Main Locker Rooms
Separate men's and women's locker rooms with toilet, sink, hair dryer, bathing suit spinner and shower facilities are available. Please bring a combination or key padlock to secure your belongings. The YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Food or drinks are not to be consumed in the locker rooms. Locks are to be removed by the end of the day unless the locker is rented. A limited number of lockers are available for rent. The rental fee is $60 per year for a small locker and $120 per year for a large locker. Locks left on unrented lockers overnight are subject to removal without notice. Parents with opposite sex children older than 5 years old must use the Family Changing Room rather than the Main Locker Rooms.
Family Changing Room
A separate unisex bathroom/changing room is available for parents with opposite sex small children who need a private changing area and for others with special needs. There are three lockers in this room. The room does not have a shower. Separate shower facilities are available in the main locker rooms and on the pool deck.
Security
The YMCA has a continuously recording video surveillance system for all program areas of the Nyack Facility. All entrances and exits are monitored by an alarm system. Entrance to the Nyack YMCA requires a photo ID card. Personnel policies of the YMCA ensure that all employees are properly screened before they are hired.
Member Photo Identification Cards
After payment of your membership dues, you will be given a photo ID membership card, which must be presented at the front desk for admission to the Nyack facility and to qualify for member discounts or registration in member-only programs. Membership cards are an important part of the security system of the YMCA. Please present your valid card at the Member Service Desk each time you enter the building. It will be returned when you exit the building. In the event of an building emergency, YMCA personnel will use your card to verify complete evacuation. There is a fee of $5 to replace a lost card.
The Rockland County YMCA reserves the right to deny access without a YMCA-issued ID card. Membership cards are the property of the YMCA. Expired or terminated cards will be confiscated if presented.
