Join us for Taste of Nyack on Sept 17! Enjoy a guided food and drink walking tour of Nyack's top restaurants, starting at 6 PM. Sample small plates at each stop, then head to the YMCA for dessert and coffee. Each stop will feature signature tastings from our restaurant partners. Guests are encouraged to purchase beverages to complement their experience—and to return soon for a full meal. We’re grateful to Nyack’s vibrant dining community for partnering with us to make this event possible.

 

Event tickets are $50. Buy with your group to stay together.

 

When you join us for Taste of Nyack, you’re doing more than enjoying an evening of great food—you’re making a difference. Proceeds support the YMCA’s Annual Campaign, which provides scholarships so local children can attend summer camp, families can access after school care, youth can learn vital water safety skills, and teens can develop leadership through our mentorship programs. Your participation helps open doors of opportunity across Rockland County.

What: Rockland County YMCA - Taste of Nyack

Time: 6:00 PM - 9:20 PM (At Participating restaurants: Group assigments will be emailed day of the event in the morning - September 17th 2025)

9:30 PM - 10:30 PM wrap up at the YMCA with desserts, coffee and raffle prizes at 35 South Broadway, Nyack NY 10960

 

How it works

  1. Shotgun Start: Each group will begin their tasting journey at 6pm at a designated restaurant. This is known as a "shotgun start," ensuring everyone gets to experience all participating restaurants.

  2. Restaurant Tasting: At your first restaurant, you’ll receive a sample or small plate of the restaurant’s featured food. You’ll have 15 minutes to savor the dish and enjoy the atmosphere.

  3. Timed Transitions: After your 15-minute tasting period, you’ll have 5 minutes to walk to the next restaurant on your list. The goal is to move efficiently from one location to the next to maximize your experience.

  4. Continued Sampling: This process will repeat with each restaurant until you’ve visited all the stops on your list.

  5. Final Destination and Festivities: After your last restaurant visit, all participants are invited to the YMCA for a relaxing finish to the evening. There, you can enjoy coffee, tea, and desserts. We will also be hosting a raffle featuring gift certificates and a 50/50 drawing while you enjoy your treats.

Purchase Tickets for Your Group!

To ensure that your group is placed together for the Taste of Nyack, please purchase tickets for your entire group at once. This event will feature a shotgun start with multiple groups starting simultaneously. If you don’t purchase tickets together, you may be randomly assigned to different groups.
