Youth Development: Empowering the Next Generation

At the heart of our mission is nurturing and empowering young people. Every day, we provide a safe and supportive environment for over 1,600 children in our before and after-school care programs, helping them learn, grow, and thrive.

  • Summer camp provided unforgettable experiences for over 250 children, with 80 scholarships ensuring financial barriers never stood in the way of exploration and fun.
  • Our Teens In Action program engaged over 80 teens, providing STEAM learning, leadership development, and hands-on community projects, equipping them with skills for the future. The Youth & Government program brought together 170 students to develop civic leadership, debate real-world issues, and foster critical thinking and advocacy.
  • Additionally, thanks to LG Electronics, preschoolers received donated teddy bears, bringing comfort and joy to young learners and future leaders.

Healthy Living: Building a Stronger, Healthier Community

From teaching lifesaving swim skills to offering fitness programs for older adults, we ensure health and well-being are within reach for everyone in our community.

  • We delivered 480 water safety lessons and trained 110 new lifeguards, reinforcing safety and confidence in and around the water.
  • More than 1,300 seniors stayed active and socially connected through our wellness programs and community engagement.
  • We welcomed over 6,000 members, providing access to fitness, wellness, and chronic disease prevention programs to promote lifelong health.
  • In partnership with the local community, we supported a Blood Drive that resulted in 86 donations, helping to save or improve the lives of 258 patients in need at local hospitals.

Social Responsibility: Strengthening Rockland County

The YMCA is built on a foundation of volunteerism, partnerships, and outreach programs that bring people together.

  • We raised over $75,000 in financial aid and scholarships to ensure that no one is turned away due to financial hardship.
  • We partnered with local businesses, schools, and organizations to provide resources, scholarships, and leadership opportunities for all.
  • Through our partnership with Subaru, we distributed 120 winter coats to children and families in need, ensuring they stayed warm through the colder months.
  • We have created a welcoming, inclusive environment where everyone belongs, celebrating diversity and fostering community engagement.

The Rockland County YMCA is not just a place—it’s a mission in action. It’s children learning, families growing, and communities coming together.
