George M. Schofield Award Recipient - T. Scott Muscat

Scott has dedicated his life to helping others grow, succeed, and become the best versions of themselves. After playing professional baseball in the Milwaukee Brewers organization from 1989–1991, Scott’s journey continued through years of mentorship, faith-based service, and leadership. From campus ministry in Charlotte and New York City to nearly two decades as Head Baseball Coach at St. Thomas Aquinas College, Scott has consistently impacted the lives of others. During his coaching career, he earned 485 victories and was named East Coast Conference Coach of the Year four times, building a program rooted in excellence, integrity, and character.

Today, Scott continues that legacy as a teacher at Tappan Zee High School, baseball coach at Nyack High School, and volunteer with the YMCA Youth and Government program, inspiring young people to lead and serve their communities. Tonight, we recognize more than his accomplishments—we celebrate a lifetime of coaching, mentoring, encouraging, and making a difference. Scott Muscrat represents the true meaning of this award: a leader whose greatest victories are the lives he has positively impacted. It is my privilege to present the George M. Schofield Award to Scott Muscrat.
