Community Comes Together at YMCA Gala 2025 to Empower the Next Generation
The 2025 YMCA Gala was a truly unforgettable evening, marking one of the most successful celebrations in recent history. With more than 200 guests filling the ballroom—the largest turnout in years—the event raised over $85,000 to support youth scholarships and essential community programs across Rockland County.
Guests enjoyed an evening of elegant dining, lively entertainment, and inspiring stories highlighting the YMCA’s lasting impact. The night began with a special musical touch as a live Jazz Ensemble, featuring three of the YMCA’s very own members, came together to give back through their love of music during the cocktail hour—setting a warm and joyful tone for the evening.
A highlight of the night was the recognition of this year’s honorees—Supervisor Teresa M. Kenny, Matthew Mariconi of Orange and Rockland Utilities, and Chief Jeffrey Wanamaker—each celebrated for their exceptional service, leadership, and dedication to youth and community development. Their efforts embody the YMCA’s core mission of nurturing potential, promoting healthy living, and fostering social responsibility. Special thanks were also extended to Kenneth Zebrowski, who served as the evening’s engaging Master of Ceremonies.
YMCA CEO Phil Donnelly expressed heartfelt appreciation to all who contributed to the success of the gala: “We are deeply grateful to our sponsors, attendees, supporters, staff, volunteers, honorees, and their families. Your generosity and commitment made this incredible evening possible. Every dollar raised helps open doors for children and families, ensuring that no one is turned away due to financial hardship.”
The funds raised through the gala will have a lasting impact, expanding access to youth development, leadership, and wellness programs throughout the coming year.
The Rockland County YMCA extends its sincere thanks to everyone who attended, donated, or volunteered—helping make the 2025 Gala not just a celebration, but a meaningful investment in the future of our community’s youth.
