Changemaker Award presented to the Rockland YMCA’s Danielle Ball

The Rockland YMCA’s very own Danielle Ball, Assistant Teen and Youth Director, was recognized with a Changemaker Award by Congressman Mike Lawler in celebration of Black History Month this week. She is one of over 20 recipients in the Lower Hudson Valley to receive the award, which is given to individuals who go above and beyond helping others and whose involvement in the community makes a positive impact on others.

O&R $15,000 Teens In Action Grant

Orange & Rockland Electric has given a grant to the Rockland YMCA supporting an ongoing STEAM curriculum for the Teens in Action program. A recent visit by Orange & Rockland's Strategic Partnership Team, Linda and Lisa, offered a firsthand look at the program's impact. During their visit, the teens showcased art projects combining science and creativity, designed for our fundraising gala. These activities reflect the program's mission to inspire innovation and critical thinking while fostering community connection.

The Night of M.A.G.I.C.—Making A Genuine Impact on Children, raised essential funds for vital YMCA youth programs
