BASKETBALL

Our basketball clinic is designed to develop fundamental basketball skills while learning, teamwork, strategy and sportsmanship. Children will learn basketball rules, shooting, passing and ball handling. They will also learn offensive and defensive skills like rebounding, and team play.

PICKLEBALL

Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the country-and you can play at the Rockland County YMCA! This cross between ping-pong, badminton and tennis is gaining popularity among groups of all ages. The game is played by two or four people on a badminton sized court with wooden paddles and a wiffle ball. We also offer a separate class for adults/teens.

SOCCER

YMCA soccer is designed to encourage participation and having fun, kids are taught basic game skills such as trapping, dribbling, passing and shooting as well as goalie skills.

VOLLEYBALL

Volleyball at the Y gives kids a solid foundation in fitness while they learn the right skills to play one of the world’s most exciting, fastest growing sports. Kids start with basic passing and setting techniques, footwork and ball contact. Higher-level classes teach serving, hitting and blocking footwork, and incorporate small scrimmages. All classes are grouped by age and ability.
