Financial Assistance

Y For All

Financial assistance keeps the Y accessible for children, adults, and families who need us most. We count on the generosity of our members and community to help people of all ages and from all walks of life be more healthy, confident, connected, and secure. When you give to the Y, your gift will have a meaningful, enduring impact right in your own neighborhood.

The Y is the unparalleled cause for strengthening community because we are the community. We are a powerful association of men, women and children joined together by a shared commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living and fostering a sense of social responsibility. We believe that lasting personal and social change can only come about when we all work together to invest in our kids, our health, and our neighbors. That’s why, at the Y, strengthening community is our cause.

EVERYONE BELONGS

AT THE Y!

The Rockland County YMCA believes no one should be denied membership or program participation solely because of the inability to pay fees. Financial assistance applications are available at our Member Service Desk or here. Financial assistance is granted based on available resources. All applications are kept confidential.

What is the YMCA Financial Assistance and Scholarship Program?

The YMCA Financial Assistance Program provides scholarship assistance to individuals and families in need of financial support, allowing them to participate in membership and program activities. This support is funded by generous donations made to the YMCA’s Annual Campaign. Financial assistance is granted based on available resources.

How will the financial assistance or scholarship amount be determined?
We use a sliding fee scale, based on total household income, number of dependents and special needs or circumstances; as well as the resources and program availability at our YMCA.

How long will an individual’s financial assistance continue?
All assistance will be granted for 12 months. All participants are expected to re-apply before the 12 month expiration with updated documentation. Scholarships must be approved prior to program registration and does not guarantee you a spot in the program.
