The Rockland County YMCA offers high-quality half day early childcare programs in two location in Rockland County:

• Suffern – Toddler/Preschool/PreK(UPK)
• Sloatsburg – PreK(UPK)

The Y’s early learning programs are operated on an experiential learning philosophy—children learn by doing. Our daily lessons are created to boost development through age-appropriate activities, and stimulating hands-on experiences, with a balance of indoor and outdoor play. Healthy snacks are included.

School Age Care At the YMCA

We provide you, the working parent, with a sense of comfort and security.

Before School Programs – Our programs start at 7:00 am and run until the school day begins. Children are greeted each morning and are able to partake in activities including: arts and crafts, board games, construction play and gym time. A light breakfast is also served.

After School Programs- Our programs run every day from your child's school dismissal until 6:00 pm to accommodate working and commuting parents. Children are empowered through indoor/outdoor activities, creative arts, homework help and cooperative games. A healthy snack is also served.

School's Out Programs

The Rockland County YMCA offers recreational programs for children Kindergarten through 8th grade during the school break. Our schools out programs are available on most Winter Breaks and Spring Breaks. Join us for fun games and activities that are sure to keep kids having fun and learning along the way. They will have the opportunity to make new friends and engage in indoor and outdoor activities in a safe, positive environment.

The Rockland County YMCA offers a School's Out Recreation Program that operates on most scheduled 2023 district days off, here at our main facility 35 South Broadway Nyack, NY. Our wonderful YMCA staff are experienced in providing a safe and nurturing environment for your children between the hours of 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
