Rockland County Youth Job Fair Aims to Boost Skilled Trade Opportunities

The Rockland County YMCA joined forces with Rockland Works to host the "YES to Success Skilled Job Fair," an event targeting employment, education, and apprenticeship opportunities in skilled trades for young people aged 16-24. The fair garnered support from a coalition of local organizations, including Rockland Community College, Rockland County Youth Bureau, Workforce Development Board, Nyack Center, and Nyack Library.
"This job fair is a crucial step in connecting our youth with meaningful career paths in skilled trades," said Phil Donnelly, CEO of the Rockland YMCA. "It aligns perfectly with our ongoing commitment to youth career readiness."
The YMCA, known for its extensive after-school programs across 25 locations in the county, has a long-standing tradition of creating job opportunities and volunteer experiences for young people. This event underscores the organization's role as an active community resource, working to bridge the gap between local youth and potential employers in the skilled trades sector.
