Rockland YMCA's Youth & Government Club Hosted a Bill Writing Workshop

The Rockland YMCA's Youth & Government Club, the largest in New York State, is hosting a workshop to teach members how to write a bill. The YMCA Youth & Government program empowers young voices and strengthens civic engagement by giving students the opportunity to experience the legislative process firsthand. The Rockland club, with over 500 high school members, is preparing for the upcoming Youth & Government voting in Albany.
"Interest in the political process has trended younger, and we're proud to provide this unique opportunity for Rockland's youth to get hands-on civics experience," said John Dillion, Youth Development Director.
YMCA Youth & Government Clubs nationwide have contributed to the passage of over 300 real laws, demonstrating the program's lasting impact.
