The Rockland Y’s Danielle Ball Named a Changemaker by Congressman Mike Lawler
Changemaker Award presented to the Rockland YMCA’s Danielle Ball
The Rockland YMCA’s very own Danielle Ball, Assistant Teen and Youth Director, was recognized with a Changemaker Award by Congressman Mike Lawler in celebration of Black History Month this week. She is one of over 20 recipients in the Lower Hudson Valley to receive the award, which is given to individuals who go above and beyond helping others and whose involvement in the community makes a positive impact on others. And Danielle’s tireless dedication to the wellbeing and development of youth and teens has made a profound difference in the lives of countless families in our community.
Danielle first joined the Rockland YMCA in September 2011, working in School Age Care before her current role. On most afternoons, she can be found leading tweens and teens in projects, listening to them talk about their day, or heading off on field trips with them around the county. She also works with the Youth & Government students, guiding them and supporting their desire to learn about the inner workings of the government.
Danielle’s innovative programming, skilled mentorship, and compassionate leadership embody the spirit of the Changemaker Award, and she’s more than deserving of the honor. She goes above and beyond in her role every day, inspiring young people to reach their full potential and creating a ripple effect of positivity throughout the community.
Recognizing her efforts will honor not only her exceptional work but also the positive impact she has made on our community. Please join us in congratulating Danielle for playing a critical role in our Y family, as well as the greater Rockland County community!
